IAF has seen significant membership growth over the past three months, gaining three new Accreditation Body (AB) Members and two new Association Members. These additions bring the total number of IAF Members to 107, representing 12.6% growth over the past five years. There are currently 81 AB Members, 20 Association Members, and 6 Regional Accreditation Group Members.
New AB Members include:
- IOAS Inc. (IOAS), accepted on 12 June 2017
- National Accreditation Agency of the Ukraine (NAAU), accepted on 16 June 2017
- National Accreditation Authority (NAH), accepted on 30 June 2017
New Association Members include:
- Foundation FSSC 22000 (FSSC 22000), accepted on 17 July 2017
- Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), accepted on 28 July 2017
IAF AB Members have also made significant strides in their coverage under the IAF Multilateral Recognition Agreement (MLA). July and August saw three new signatories:
- IOAS, which was accepted on 04 July for the main scope of ISO/IEC 17065
- NAH, which was accepted on 04 July for the main scopes of ISO/IEC 17065, ISO/IEC 17024 and ISO/IEC 17021-1 and the Level 5 sub-scopes of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
- NAAU, accepted on 16 August for the main scopes of ISO/IEC 17065, ISO/IEC 17024 and ISO/IEC 17021-1 and the Level 5 sub-scopes of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
A number of Members who were already signatories have achieved scope extensions:
- The Dubai Accreditation Department (DAC) and Hong Kong Accreditation Service (HKAS), both accepted for the Level 4 sub-scope of ISO/TS 22003 and Level 5 sub-scope of ISO 22000 on 07 July 2017
- The National Center of Accreditation (NCA), accepted for the main scope of ISO/IEC 17021-1 and Level 5 sub-scope of ISO 9001 on 13 July
- The Department of Standards Malaysia (Standards Malaysia), accepted for the Level 4 sub-scopes of ISO/TS 22003 and ISO/IEC 27006 and the Level 5 sub-scopes of ISO 22000 and ISO/IEC 27001 on 12 July
- The National Accreditation Center of Iran (NACI), accepted for the Level 4 sub-scope of ISO/TS 22003 and Level 5 sub-scopes of ISO 22000 and ISO 14001 on 19 July
- The Singapore Accreditation Council (SAC), accepted for the Level 5 sub-scope of ISO 14001 on 27 July
- The Pakistan National Accreditation Council (PNAC), accepted for the main scope of ISO/IEC 17065 on 08 August
- The Mexican Accreditation Entity (EMA), accepted for the Level 4 sub-scope of ISO/IEC 27006 and the Level 5 sub-scope of ISO/IEC 27001 on 11 August
