On 27 May 2023, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed between the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and BRC Trading Ltd. (BRCGS). This MOU replaces the existing agreement signed on 08 March 2023 and adds the following BRCGS schemes as endorsed sub-scopes under the IAF Multilateral Recognition Arrangement (MLA):

BRC Global Standard – Consumer Products Personal Care Household, Issue 4

BRC Global Standard – Consumer Products General Merchandise, Issue 4

BRC Global Standard – Gluten Free Certification Program, Issue 3

These certification schemes help manufacturers demonstrate that that their products meet strict commitments to consistency and the demands of both customers and regulators. Certification is awarded to companies that pass a rigorous audit by a certification body accredited by an IAF MLA signatory. Earlier this year, IAF recognized BRCGS Global Standards for Food Safety, Agents and Brokers, Packaging Materials, and Storage and Distribution as sub-scopes as well.
