IAF, the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) renewed their tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 24 August 2022. The MoU was first signed on 14 May 2012.
 
The MoU confirms IAF, ILAC and ITU’s commitment to cooperation through information-sharing, attendance at relevant committee and working group meetings, and promotional activities, including promotion and support of the ITU recognition of testing laboratories that are accredited by ILAC MRA signatories to perform testing in accordance with ITU Recommendations. IAF, ILAC and ITU may also collaborate on projects to support capacity building in accreditation for the conformity and interoperability field in developing countries.
