IAF Members Making Strides Under the IAF MLA

01 Dec 2022

IAF Members continue to make strides in their recognition under the IAF Multilateral Recognition Arrangement (MLA). Since the 2021 IAF General Assembly, one Regional Accreditation Group Member has achieved a scope extension, while eight Accreditation Body (AB) Members have joined the IAF MLA and 10 AB Members have achieved scope extensions.

IAF works closely with the regional accreditation groups to deliver on the goal of ‘certified once, accepted everywhere’. This is achieved through the delivery of a peer evaluation process to underpin mutual recognition.  Becoming a signatory to the IAF MLA means that ABs ‘sign up’ to recognising certifications issued under peer accreditations.

– Kylie Sheehan, MLA Committee Chair
