IAF MLA Status Update – August 2021

Throughout 2021 and late 2020, IAF Members have made great strides in their recognition within the IAF MLA.

New IAF MLA Signatories

 

Since the last IAF General Assembly on 05 November 2020, one new body has become a signatory to the IAF MLA:

 

  • Gulf Cooperation Council Accreditation Center (GAC (GCC)), recognized for the Main Scope of Product Certification – ISO/IEC 17065 on 11 August 2021.

Recent IAF Member Scope Extensions

 

Since the last IAF General Assembly on 05 November 2020, IAF Members have continued their progress under the IAF Multilateral Recognition Arrangement (MLA), with multiple Regional Accreditation Groups (RAGs) and a number of accreditation bodies (ABs) achieving scope extensions.

 

RAGs that achieved scope extensions include:

 

  • Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (APAC), recognized for the Level 4 sub-scope of ICAO CORSIA ETM Vol. IV ISO 14064-3 ISO 14066 and the Level 5 sub-scope of ICAO CORSIA SARPs Annex 16 Vol. IV on 28 January 2021.
  • European co-operation for Accreditation (EA), recognized for the Level 4 sub-scope of ISO/TS 22003 FSSC 22000 Scheme Parts 3 and 4 and the Level 5 sub-scope of FSSC 22000 Scheme Part 2 on 09 June 2021.

  • Akkreditierung Austria (AA), Italian Accreditation Body (ACCREDIA), Belgian Accreditation Body (BELAC), Czech Accreditation Institute (CAI), German Accreditation (DAkkS), Danish Accreditation (DANAK), Entidad Nacional de Acreditacion (ENAC), Hellenic Accreditation System (ESYD), Finnish Accreditation Service (FINAS), Irish National Accreditation Board (INAB), Portuguese Institute for Accreditation (IPAC), Polish Centre for Accreditation (PCA), Romanian Accreditation Association (RENAR), Dutch Accreditation Council (RvA), Swedish Board for Accreditation and Conformity Assessment (SWEDAC), and Turkish Accreditation Agency (TURKAK), recognized for the Level 4 sub-scope of ISO/TS 22003 FSSC 22000 Scheme Parts 3 and 4 and the Level 5 sub-scope of FSSC 22000 Scheme Part 2 on 09 June 2021.
  • ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) and Taiwan Accreditation Foundation (TAF), recognized for the Level 4 sub-scope of ICAO CORSIA ETM Vol. IV ISO 14064-3 ISO 14066 and the Level 5 sub-scope of ICAO CORSIA SARPs Annex 16 Vol. IV on 28 January 2021.
  • Comite Francais d’Accreditation (COFRAC), recognized for the Level 4 sub-scope of ISO/IEC TS 17021-10 and Level 5 sub-scope of ISO 45001 (OH&SMS) on 10 May 2021, and the Level 4 sub-scope of ISO/TS 22003 FSSC 22000 Scheme Parts 3 and 4 and the Level 5 sub-scope of FSSC 22000 Scheme Part 2 on 09 June 2021.
  • China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS), recognized for the Level 4 sub-scope of ICAO CORSIA ETM Vol. IV ISO 14064-3 ISO 14066 and the Level 5 sub-scope of ICAO CORSIA SARPs Annex 16 Vol. IV on 28 January 2021, and for the Level 4 sub-scope of ISO/IEC TS 17021-10 and Level 5 sub-scope of ISO 45001 (OH&SMS) on 01 April 2021.
  • Emirates International Accreditation Center (EIAC), recognized for the Level 4 sub-scope of ISO/IEC TS 17021-10 and Level 5 sub-scope of ISO 45001 (OH&SMS) on 06 November 2021, and the Level 4 sub-scope of ISO/IEC 27006 and the Level 5 sub-scope of ISO/IEC 27001 (ISMS) on 06 November 2020.
  • National Institute of Quality – Directorate of Accreditation (INACAL-DA), recognized for the Level 4 sub-scope of ISO/IEC 17021-2 and the Level 5 sub-scope of ISO 14001 (EMS) on 10 May 2021, and the Level 4 sub-scope of ISO/IEC TS 17021-10 and Level 5 sub-scope of ISO 45001 (OH&SMS) on 10 May 2021.
  • IOAS Inc. (IOAS), recognized for the Level 4 sub-scope of GLOBALG.A.P. IFA General Regulations and the Level 5 sub-scope of GLOBALG.A.P. IFA CPCCs on 10 May 2021.
  • Japan Accreditation Board (JAB), recognized for the Level 4 sub-scope of ICAO CORSIA ETM Vol. IV ISO 14064-3 ISO 14066 and the Level 5 sub-scope of ICAO CORSIA SARPs Annex 16 Vol. IV on 19 April 2021, the Level 5 sub-scope of ISO 13485 (MDMS) on 19 April 2021, and the Level 4 sub-scope of ISO/IEC TS 17021-10 and Level 5 sub-scope of ISO 45001 (OH&SMS) on 19 April 2021.
  • Swiss Accreditation Service (SAS), recognized for the Level 4 sub-scope of ISO/IEC TS 17021-10 and Level 5 sub-scope of ISO 45001 (OH&SMS) on 06 November 2020, and the Level 4 sub-scope of ISO/TS 22003 FSSC 22000 Scheme Parts 3 and 4 and the Level 5 sub-scope of FSSC 22000 Scheme Part 2 on 09 June 2021.
  • United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS), recognized for the Level 4 sub-scope of ISO/TS 22003 FSSC 22000 Scheme Parts 3 and 4 and the Level 5 sub-scope of FSSC 22000 Scheme Part 2 on 09 June 2021, and Level 4 sub-scope of ISO/TS 22003 FAMI-QS Rules for CBs and the Level 5 subscope of FAMI-QS Certification Scheme Code on 03 August 2021.
