The paper “Remote Audits” has been added under “Auditing General” at ISO/TC176 – ISO 9001 Auditing Practices Group.

• This new paper will assist those trying to conduct remote audits during the COVID-19 pandemic. It gives recommendations for the audit programme, audit planning, audit realization and audit conclusions, and includes an annex describing risks and opportunities for remote auditing.

• The last meeting of the ISO 9001 Auditing Practices Group (APG) was with ISO/TC 176 in Bridgetown, from 3-8 November 2019, where it undertook a major revision of the paper “Scope of ISO 9001, Scope of Quality Management System and Scope of Certification”.

The aim of the revision was to improve alignment and consistency in the audit process. The revised paper now provides enhanced guidance on how to audit the scope of an organization’s quality management system, as well as its impact on audit scope and audit applicability, and is entitled “Scope and applicability”.
