WSO is a global organization dedicated to promoting sustainable practices across industries, with a strong focus on environmental protection, ethical responsibility and marine conservation. WSO sets voluntary standards for the whole food range (seafood and agriculture), as well as non-food products and services. Through internationally recognized certification programs such as Friend of the Sea and Friend of the Earth, WSO works to ensure that products and services meet rigorous sustainability standards.

WSO joined IAF as an Association Member in 2022. Its Friend of the Sea certification scheme has been endorsed as an IAF MLA sub-scope.
