The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) is a global non-profit, non-governmental organization founded in 1999. Its mission is to promote sustainable forest management through independent third-party certification, providing an international framework for the development and mutual recognition of national and regional forest certification systems.
PEFC joined IAF as an Association Member in 2010. The PEFC Chain of Custody of Forest and Tree Based Products scheme has been endorsed as an IAF MLA sub-scope.
